It’s a given that Michael Anthony was always the guy along for the ride in Van Halen and never the musical wizard of the band. Knowing he could never outshine Eddie’s showy fretwork must have been the inspiration for this completely wasted joke from a Van Halen concert in 1982. At least I hope this is not serious. I’m kind of surprised Eddie and Alex allowed such a spectacle at a Van Halen show, unless they were backstage falling all over themselves laughing.
