A rare Tom Waits performance and interview on this past Friday night’s Conan in San Francisco. During the performance, Waits stomps stone powder along with his version of a human beatbox, and the effect with the minimal light is amazing. Such a bad ass performer. And during the interview Waits pokes fun of the religious zealots who claim to have found the Virgin Mary’s imprint on a cheese sandwich by claiming to have found Satan’s outline on a shovel. Pure gold. Tom Waits is a God.
