Stream Bryan Ferry’s “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues”

Yes, Roxy Music’s long-delayed reunion record is in line behind Bryan Ferry’s latest solo outing- an album comprised completely of Bob Dylan covers called, well, Dylanesque, of course. The set , due June 26, was recorded in a live-in-the-studio session over the course of one week, and the songs benefit from the loose and breezy approach. Despite a pesky harmonica infultrating Ferry’s tuxedo-cool, he manages to pull off the impossible, making Bob Dylan songs sound smooth and seductive. I know, I know. But you truly have to hear it to believe it. He practically makes Dylan’s whiny squawking sound delicate and sophisticated.
