New Múm album title too long for headline

Though it’s no competition for Fiona Apple’s second record, When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He’ll Win the Whole Thing ‘Fore He Enters the Ring There’s No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and if You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and if You Fall It Won’t Matter, ‘Cuz You’ll Know That You’re Right, Múm’s forthcoming album is a mouthful: Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy, Let Your Crooked Hands Be Holy.

The experimental Icelandic pop collective’s fourth record is due out September 25 on Fat Cat and features a “wonky insect circus instrumental.” Well, of course it does.

The group only has three US dates lined up thus far:

10/24, Los Angeles, CA (Orpheum Theatre)

11/9, New York, NY (Wordless Music Series at St. Paul the Apostle)

11/10, New York, NY (Wordless Music Series at Society for Ethical Culture)
