The Strokes to rest on laurels for remainder of year

Posted May 24th, 2007 by eric

If anybody needs a vacation, it’s The Strokes. Man, those guys churn out some records. I mean, since 2001 they’ve put out three complete LP’s- none of that EP slackness. That’s an average of one record for every two years that have passed, which is no small feat in today’s competitive marketplace. And it’s not like they’re just sitting on their piles of cash doing nothing. They stay plenty busy. Julian Casablancas just laid down some vocals for new Queens of the Stone Age, Era Vulgaris, and Albert Hammond Jr., of course, has his solo career to think of. Come on. Who could expect the hard working men in the Strokes not to take 2007 off?
