Despite Alex James’ upbeat assurance that all four members of Blur would reconvene in the studio this August, new reports reveal that nothing is yet set in stone.

James has changed his tune slightly on the possible reunion activities: “There’s no point in doing it unless all of us want to because that was what was so good about it. I’m hoping that it’ll happen”, he continued, “but there’s nothing set in stone.”

So, he’s gone from confident to hoping. It’s not looking good.
