In news that may or may not surprise his fans, Girls Talk’s Gregg Gillis posed topless for Playgirl’s Man of the Year issue in May, wherein he discussed his free time is spent “swimming, playing basketball, lighting off fireworks, snacking it out, and bro’n down.” That is how you give good quote. I love this guy more and more every time I find out something new about him. His set at Bonnaroo was nothing short of amazing. The guy is clearly having a blast when he’s performing. He recently joined Newsweek journalist Steven Levy and Congressman Mike Doyle for some hot dogs to discuss Doyle’s public support of Gillis’ sampling. And if that weren’t enough, Gillis recently quit his job to focus on music full time. Now, that wouldn’t exactly be big news if Gillis’ job had been as a movie theater attendant, but, since he was a biomedical engineer for eight years, it’s a much bigger deal. And with his newfound freedom, Gillis is heading out on tour with Dan Deacon.
