With a note posted on the Joan of Arc website, Tim Kinsella announced his departure from Make Believe, citing his distaste for touring and the inherent “rock band lifestyle, which I have felt less and less connection to for a long while now.” Entering a self-described “hermit-mode”, Kinsella, has a “pile of new songs to pull from for a new Joan of Arc record” that he plans to take his time with. But Punkews is reporting that Kinsella won’t be resting too much as his directorial debut at the Chicago Underground Film Festival is set for August 15th. The film is called Orchard Vale, which Kinsella shot on a DVCam for under $10,000.
