Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill proposed to his girlfriend Jessie Baylin recently during dinner at a restaurant in New York, which is not very interesting news. But the rest of the band’s reaction is. Nathan’s younger brother, Caleb, who is also the band’s singer, is hardcore when it comes to the band’s principles and drive: “We have friends in bands who are married and their songs start being watered-down because they’re all about the same girl.” Damn. Screw your brother’s happiness for the sake of keeping the music real. I’m bet his future sister in law is particularly fond of these public comments. But, wait, it’s only the drummer getting married, so who gives a shit? How can he water anything down?

what do you mean “it’s only the drummer getting married, so who gives a shit?” you’re a fool if you think the drumming isn’t an important part of the songs and nathan is clearly an important band member; it’s not as if he doesn’t have a say in the type of songs they play!! fooooooooool….plus he’s totally how and should be single, so it does matter! 🙁 bye bye nathan

Idiots. He’s not implying that Nathan’s a bad drummer, that’s obviously not true, but he’s right by saying that a drummer can’t water down songs – having a steady girlfriend could only have an effect on lyrics, which is mostly Caleb’s job.
