Rolling Stone has an exclusive video of Nashville’s Be Your Own Pet cavorting around in the studio. The band is working on its follow-up to last year’s debut on Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace! label. Lead singer Jemina Pearl talks the viewer through a rudimentary tour of Pro Tools, but it’s not all boring. Pearl is completely immodest when it comes to singing in front of the camera, as she rehearses along with pre-recorded tracks. From brief the snippets, the new record sounds far more focused and structured but still perky and obnoxious.
