So, music news is all over the fact that Morrissey allegedly turned down 75 million to reform The Smiths. If it’s true, I applaud his decision. Whatever his motives (and I’m sure they’re catty and sinister at the core), at least he retains his integrity. It’s not about the money. How many bands can say that and mean it? For The Smiths’ legacy to go untainted by greed is worth more to me than watching them play two decades past their prime. Well played, Morrissey.
