Interpol’s second single off the much under appreciated Our Love to Admire is, perhaps, the band’s most aggressive song to date. Paul Banks almost steps outside of his loveless monotone as the pre-chorus builds, hinting at anger. Take that Editors! Banks keeps his cool, though, hiding behind those carefully coiffed golden locks. The official video is a no frills performance piece, allowing bassist Carlos D to show off his gold rush garb, perm, and unironic mustache. Do they sell bolos at Hot Topic yet?
