Good thing George ain’t alive to see this

Billboard reports George Harrison’s son, Dhani, is among the guests slated to appear on the Wu Tang Clan‘s first long player in six years. Specifically, Dhani will lend his talents to “My People Gently Weeps,” which is an “interpolation” of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”

Did no one bother to tell RZA that George’s pal (and wife snatcher) Eric Clapton played lead guitar on that one?

For my money, I’ll take Prince‘s turn from a posthumous salute to George at the 2004 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Jesus Christ. I’d let Prince fuck me in a clown suit, and I ain’t even gay.

Oh, and The Wu’s 8 Diagrams is due November 13.
