If you stay up late enough, you’re bound to see some crazy ass shit on cable – guaranteed. Needless to say (but I’ll say anyways because, like Eric Cartman, I do what I want), I thought I was in some sort of domestic beer-induced haze when I caught this spectacle on FX recently. Behold the freewheelin’ Shabtai Zisel ben Avraham v’Rachel Riva in the studio alongside the bootyliciously ebullient Jenna Elfman. There’s a bit of latency between sound and picture, but that’s prolly a good thing here. If you’ve ever pondered the punchline to a joke that starts off “A Jew cum born-again Gentile and a ditzy, snaggletooth Scientologist walk into a recording studio during the closing credits of a horrible Chuck Lorre sitcom,” then look no further my dears. BTW, T-Bone Burnett just looks like a blind mongoloid.
