I’ve been on the fence about Kate Nash for a while, since my initial perception of her as a Lily Allen knock-off left a bad taste in my mouth, but I’ve been won over by this song, which is starting to get some airplay on Sirius’ Left of Center. I’m a sucker for her thick cockney accent, and something about the brutal honesty of her lyrics is disarming yet appealing. She mixes random thoughts and images with everyday mundanity and delivers it all with a flirtatious sense of humor. And she’s not impossible to look at.
