Those Replacements reissues that have been buried in the rumor mill for so long that many thought they would never come out are finally going to see the light of day this spring. Rhino (who else?) plans to release the Minneapolis band’s first three raucous albums, Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take out the Trash, Hootenanny, and Let It Be, along with the Stink EP on April 22. The reissue treatment is complete with the requisite bundles of outtakes and unreleased tracks but also includes Paul Westerberg’s original four-song demo from 1980. The band’s remaining catalog, Tim, Pleased to Meet Me, Don’t Tell a Soul, and All Shook Down, should be reissued by year’s end. Finally.
