Shudder to Think vocalist Craig Wedren recently told Billboard that he and guitarist Nathan Larson have put aside all of the “venom and puss” that would preclude a reunion so as to move forward with playing together again. I’m not sure what sort of concoction venom and puss is exactly, but it sounds unpleasant. Nevertheless, after some prodding last fall by Rain Phoenix of all people, Shudder to Think played an impromptu show at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. Now the band has upped the ante for a small-scale tour of both coasts this fall. Things kick off at the Virgin Mobile Fesival in Baltimore mid-August. Depending on how you look at it, the band’s last album was either 50,000 B.C. or the soundtrack for the film First Love, Last Rights back in 1998.
