Post-Shiner shoegaze masters The Life and Times have a shit-hot new song streaming on their MySpace page. “Fall of the Angry Clowns” is the first taste of the band’s forthcoming full-length Tragic Boogie, which unfortunately doesn’t yet have a definitive release date, but, if this song is any indicator, will blow the hair off your back with its ocean-size layers of guitar.

In the meantime, a film of the Kansas City trio’s 2006 tour of Japan will be available via its website and on tour this summer. The film is called Life is Pleasure,which vocalist/guitarist Allen Epley implores is not a typical “concert film” and warns fans “expecting to see an entire show or even much less, an entire song, not to get their hopes up.” Hrm, ok.

In other news the band’s Magician EP is being released on vinyl by Hawthorne Street Records and will also be available at the band’s shows.
