3 weeks until Stereolab unleashes their Chemical Chords

“Chemical Chords is their first album proper since 2004’s Margerine Eclipse (if you discount the EP collection of 2006, Fab Four Suture) and it features thirteen songs by Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane and one solo Gane composition, as well as string and brass arrangements from Sean O’Hagan.” (via)

I’m pretty sure I probably don’t listen to Stereolab as much as I should because every time the iPod on random serves up a Stereolab track I also find myself saying to myself something like “I really should listen to Stereolab more often.” I’m a Mars Audiac Quintet kinda guy, though I do Peng! it out from time to time. I’ve also been known to kick out the Emperor Tomato jams.

Here’s a teaser from the new album.
Three Women

Eric posted the video for this track back in May. Why we have to wait until August 18th to get the album is beyond me. Release schedules are just stupid at this point.
