love the sound TJF make with “Whirring” & “The Greatest light is the Greatest shade” real standouts live. Passion, soul & energy.

There’s a tinge of Blonde Redhead and a hearkening back to the power pop of the early ’90s that I really like, but their sound is fresh and addictive.

Wow, I had no idea you hated Belly. Amusing. There’s a bit of Throwing Muses in TJF as well. Between The Pains of Being Pure At Heart and The Joy Formidable I feel like a freshman in college all over again. If this is mid-life crisis, I’m enjoying it.
