If you went back in time to any college radio station in the US in the mid ’90s and said “Walmart is going to use a Jim O’Rourke track in a commercial” I dare say you would have been laughed at. Not sure who’s laughing now. Is there anyone who hasn’t had their music used in a commercial?

indeed. never thought the guy i saw use a drill on a guitar for an hour at the tula arts festival in atlanta in 1994 would end up having anything remotely accessible enough to end up in an ad.
