VIDEO: Trail of Dead “Catatonic”

November 13th, 2012

Seems like every few years …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead releases a new album and everyone goes, “man, this is their best since Source Tags & Codes.” Ok, that didn’t happen when So Divided came out. But you know what I’m talking about. Worlds Apart is the only outright stinker […]

September 13th, 2012

The Dismemberment Plan‘s latest reformation seems to be sticking. News has been trickling out about new songs. The bands seems to be having a blast playing live, too, as this live video at The Metro Gallery clearly indicates. A new official band YouTube page has surfaced featuring “Mexico City Christmas,” which sounds like vintage D-plan […]

VIDEO: Laetitia Sadier “Find Me the Pulse of the Universe”

September 13th, 2012

I often have to be in the mood to listen to certain bands, but one band I can put on regardless what I’m doing or how I’m feeling is Stereolab. Peter Hook Shows Interviewer How It’s Done on Bass

September 12th, 2012

An opportunistic interviewer brought his bass to a meeting with Joy Division/New Order four-stringer Peter Hook back in 2001 to see if he were playing Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” correctly. He was not, and Hook grabbed the bass and schooled him right. Pretty amazing. [via Slicing Up Eyeballs]

What a way to introduce Rocket from the Crypt to my kids. I have to admit this is one of the better reunion ploys. No cash grab tour with dutiful live album following suit. Just a limited edition 7″ available via Volcom retailers after September 21st. The b-side is a collaboration between Biz Markie and […]
