Reznor rips label for over-charging

Posted May 15th, 2007 by eric

Trend Reznor is pissed off at Universal Music Group for pricing Nine Inch Nails’ current Year Zero well above standard retail:

“As the climate grows more and more desperate for record labels, their answer to their mostly self-inflicted wounds seems to be to screw the consumer over even more.”

Then, in the ultimate kiss-off, he slaps them with a “shame on you.” Did he suddenly turn into my great aunt? Shame on you? What the ass is that about? How’s that going to teach them? I expect this guy to piss burning fire from the depths of his black soul all over their pagan faces, not slap them with a limp-wristed ought-niner-ism.
