On Sunday, The New York Times did a piece on Andrew Kuo, an obsessive blogger with a bizarre methodology: “Mr. Kuo meticulously dissects indie rock and hip-hop records and shows and then transforms the data into complicated, brightly colored charts and diagrams.” It’s a visual piss-take on ADD internet surfers. So, to put Kuo to a test, The Times sent him to all seven of Bright Eyes’ recent New York shows so that he could graphically chart the highs and lows without losing focus or his attention span. The result is both amusing and confusing, and, ironically, takes longer to digest than a traditional review would.
