For a guy who’s not too keen on internet savvy marketing, Jack White seems to be loosening up on the whole idea of music not produced on vinyl. That’s right, the new White Stripes record will be available on limited edition thumb drives. They will come in two versions, a cartoon Meg and a cartoon Jack. Each contains 512MB of space, including the new album, Icky Thump. One will set you back $57.50, but you can grab the pair for a discounted $99. Each one is limited to 3,333 copies. It’s not entirely certain whether this has been licensed by the band, so White could very well still be a vinyl purist.
