Staunchly independent Chicago record label Thrill Jockey will celebrate its 15th birthday with a pair of shows at London’s Kiko on November 11-12, strangely enough. Bands set to perform are Thrill Jockey mainstays Trans Am, The Sea and Cake, and Tortoise. Califone, ADULT, and The Fiery Furnaces will also round out the event. The label commissioned Girl Talk’s Greg Gillis to create a mastermix that spans the label’s entire history to be given out at the show. Additionally, to celebrate its years of indie service, plans are underway for a 7″ box set with label artists covering each other’s music.
