I’m not a huge fan of cover records. A cover every now and again is ok, but entire albums tend to be lame and indulgent, not to mention a transparent stop-gap at the cash register between real albums. But somehow a second set of Cat Power covers doesn’t seem like a bad thing. With a voice like hers I’d probably record everybody else’s shit too, just ‘cos I could.
