Since The Mix-Up isn’t exactly burning up the charts, The Beastie Boys are ready for Plan B: Hiring “a bunch of British people” to sing on it, as MCA recently told Billboard. The band is set to reinvent its somewhat lackluster instrumental LP with a slew of guest vocalists. I’m not sure that will do the trick, but I’m open to giving it a second shot. M.I.A. and Lily Allen are both on board, so that should certainly help. Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker has also agreed to participate. The Beastie Boys plan to start working on its next proper full-length after its current tour ends later this month.
