Clover, the little-known backing band that played on Elvis Costello’s debut, My Aim Is True, some thirty years ago is reuniting with Costello for the first time since they all left the studio when the album wrapped. The cause is for Costello’s long-time friend and fellow musician, Austin De Lone, whose son suffers from “Prader-Willi syndrome, a chromosome disorder that affects 1 in 15,000 births and leaves its victims perpetually starving.” The event spans two sold out night at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall, where the reunited musicians will play My Aim Is True in its entirety. Even if he won’t play his home country ever again, Costello hasn’t lost touch with his past.
