Amy Winehouse, who has teetered on the brink of Pete Doherty since her break-through album Back in Black made her an international household name back in 2007, has been relatively headline free as of late. Her vacation from the music industry is a ballsy move, especially in an era of such fleeting consumption that bands are forgotten almost as quickly as they are built up. Winehouse’s antics may have elevated her status to being immune to the gnat-sized attention spans of today’s flickering cultural shifts. There areĀ rumors, though, that her next album will finally surface early in 2011, but I’ll believe that when I see it. In the meantime, Winehouse has lent her fashion sense to English streetwear design house, Fred Perry, which will be releasing an Amy Winehouse line in the coming months. Winehouse has long been known to don the Fred Perry label, often pairing their tailored polo shirts with her patented pencil skirts.
